Megan's Artist Statement:

I was halfway through college when I realized what I wanted to do with my writing. I had been making up stories since I was twelve, but it was just a hobby, something that I liked to do in my spare time. I took a screenwriting class, not sure if I would enjoy it and realized that this was what I was looking for. I could combine my love of movies and writing, and made the decision to pursue a career in the film industry. My hope with this project, When the Lamps Go Out, is that I can continue to mature this passion and carry it into a career after college that will help me to develop my skills as an author, communicator, and entertainer in the realm of movies.
